Public evidence catalog

The machine-readable catalog contains twelve stable claims for edition 2026.10.7. Its dedicated schema allows only public fields and rejects unknown fields. Each claim names its proposition, assumptions, counterexample, limitations, provenance and three distinct evidence records.

Engineering maturity describes what exists: conceptual, specified, reference_implemented, product_implemented or production_observed. Assurance describes the evidence method: hypothesis, analytical, bounded_formal, automated_tested, fault_tested, externally_reproducible, independently_reproduced or independently_audited. These dimensions are independent. They are never collapsed into a global verified flag.

The new cases are original teaching references with analytical explanations, author-executed fault tests and disclosed reproduction. Their Production records are none. This does not erase the retained dated implementation evidence, which concerns different claims and retains its original provenance. It prevents those observations from being used as proof of the toy propositions' production equivalence.

All new records remain PUBLIC_CANDIDATE. Schema validation and a green build are not declassification, independent reproduction, semantic disclosure clearance or release approval. Release requires independent review and separate public-only builds; PUBLIC_CANDIDATE classification does not record owner authorization. See Research Depth & Proof for the human-readable dossiers, Engineering Methodology for attribution, and the review guide for submitting an objection.

To validate the catalog and run its declared cases, use the successor source companion:

python tools/public_evidence.py
python examples/investigations/check.py
python tools/successor_checks.py

The negative schema controls try unknown private-only fields, protected path shapes, missing provenance and unsupported assurance. They must be rejected. These mechanical checks complement the later semantic review; they cannot decide whether a novel explanation discloses a protected composition.
